IPM was established on December 15th, 1993, by the Central European University Fund (USA), the Centre for Privatisation (Poland), the Ministry for Economics (Belarus) and the International Association for the Support of Privatisation (IASP) (USA) as a Joint Venture partnership.
At present the IPM Business School is the only European-type business education institution in Belarus, this became possible through partnerships with leading organisations in the field of business education.
1996
- IPM liaises with the Open University Business School – within the "Professional Manager" program. The OU Business School is highly regarded throughout Europe and the world and is one of seventeen Open University faculties. It was founded in 1983 to provide high quality training to managers unable to attend regular classes. The OU Business School is accredited by the world's top management education associations, including AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.
1997
- IPM was accredited as a studying center of the Chartered Institute of Marketing . Cooperation with the CIM has begun within the framework of two qualifications that we offer namely the Professional Certificate in Marketing and the Professional Diploma in Marketing.
1998
- Cooperation with the Leon Kozminski Academy of Entrepreneurship and Management began thanks to a grant recieved from the Eurasia Fund to facilitate development of our Executive MBA program. LKAEM offers recognized B.B.A., M.A., M.B.A. and Ph.D. programs in business management and finance. In 1999 LKAEM became the 16th business school in Europe to be accredited by the world's top accreditation body, the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS), and was also accredited by the Brussels-based European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD)
1999
- Collaboration with the IEDC-Bled School of Management, began within the organization of training programs for the IPM faculty. The IEDC-Bled School of Management was established in 1986 and is a member of EFMD (the European Foundation for Management Development). It is also headquarters for CEEMAN, IMTA and ELC. In 2005, the IEDC-Bled School of Management received international recognition for postgraduate courses offered from the AMBA (Association of MBAs).
2002
- Cooperation with the REFA-Bundesverband e.V. Federal union REFA (Germany) began within the framework of the programs "Industrial Systems and Process Management" and "REFA-Industrial Engineering". REFA is one of the largest organisations in Europe to offer training services, improvement of professional skills, consultation on workplace issues and enterprise organisation. REFA received ISO certification DIN EN ISO 9001:2000.

- IPM became a member of the Central and Eastern European Management Development Association (CEEMAN)

- Collaboration began with Controller Akademie AG (Munich, Germany) within the framework of our "Controller's Diploma" program, which meets the requirements of the International Group of Controlling (Switzerland).
- IPM joined the Russian Association of Business Education (RABE)

- Cooperation with international consulting company “Adizes Institute”, (California, USA) started within the framework of joint consulting company the “Adizes Belarus” foundation.
